The event started with an address by The SAIF National President, Gary Stalker, followed by an encouraging educational talk by Brendan Day of Greener Globe Funeral Standard.
The College proceeded to award all the students who had gained their certificates and diplomas over the previous 12 months. It was wonderful to see so many and celebrate their hard work and achievements through the college.
The final official duty was to present the Matthew Gallagher Award, for the most outstanding student. This is not for their academic work but is based on nominations explaining achievements gained through personal and work life especially for going the extra mile or working through adversity. The award was beautifully presented by our Chair of Governors and fellow trainer/assessor Gemma O’Driscoll and the award was proudly presented to and received by Graham Torrie.
The event and celebrations concluded with a wonderful 3 course lunch.
